Isolates like gDNA or RNA and cell lines related to this sample
Fine-tuned user rights and barcode usage ensure access to and management of biobanking in compliance to GDPR and FDA 21 CSF Part 11. LABA biobanking consists of 3 main parts with parent-child relations: patient registry, repository of clinical samples and repository of tissue derivatives, like cell lines or isolated DNA, RNA and proteins. Thanks to its integration with reagents and storage facility, LABA biobanking is a non-redundant and comprehensive system to track type, amount and location of clinical samples and their derivatives.
Patient registry enables saving patient’s contact and general information which can be searched and listed by multiple criteria. Tissue sample is associated to diagnosis and added to patient. Similarly, if a clinical sample was further processed to create a cell line or isolate specific macromolecules, such derivative will be associated to tissue sample.
